| Product Description | Triple box set featuring three popular horror movies. 'Shaun of the Dead' (2004) is written by Simon Pegg, creator of the hit TV series 'Spaced'. The film fuses the style (and copious bloodshed) of classic zombie films with observational suburban comedy. Shaun (Pegg) is a useless but likeable thirty-something who works in an electronics shop in Crouch End. He doesn't get much respect from his fellow staff, even though he's standing in as temporary boss; his girlfriend Liz (Kate Ashfield) has had enough of his lack of direction and penchant for downing pints in the local pub; and he doesn't get on with his stepdad (Bill Nighy). Things get worse when the living dead make their appearance, threatening to spread their zombie curse across the nation. Will Shaun be able to rise from his sofa to save the lives of the two women he loves - Liz and his dear old mum?
In 'An American Werewolf in London' (1981), American students David Kessler (David Naughton) and Jack Goodman (Griffin Dunne) are spending their holidays backpacking around England. Seeking shelter from a storm at unwelcoming Yorkshire inn 'The Slaughtered Lamb', the pair are soon spooked by the unwelcoming locals, who nonetheless warn them not to stray from the road. Sure enough, the duo become lost on the moors and are attacked by a savage animal. Jack is killed, but when David wakes in a London hospital weeks later he is told that his attacker was in fact a rampaging madman. Already shocked and confused, David is horrified to receive a visit from the rotting corpse of an undead Jack, who informs him that the creature which attacked them was in fact a werewolf. Unless David kills himself he will fall prey to the monster's curse at the next full moon, and transform into a savage killer.
Finally, 'The Frighteners' (1996) is a comedy horror from New Zealand director Peter Jackson. Frank Bannister (Michael J. Fox) is a psychic investigator in the town of Fairwater, aided by three friendly ghosts who create supernatural disturbances for him to 'solve'. However, when Frank begins to see numbers carved into the foreheads of people who subsequently die as a result of a bizarre heart failure, he realizes that an evil spirit is causing the deaths. As the last person to be seen near the victims Frank is suspected by eccentric Federal agent Milton Dammers (Jeffrey Combs) of being in some way responsible - especially when it is revealed that Frank's own wife died some years previously in mysterious circumstances.
